Но когда вы передаете тот же набор байтов в wcslen, он рассматривает каждые 2 байта как один символ. Поэтому первые 2 байта [97,83] будут рассматриваться как один символ имеющий значение 24915(97<<8 | 83). Это Unicode символ ???..
